On September 13, 2023, the second member representative conference and re-election meeting of the Fuzhou City Model Workers Association was held in Fuzhou. Song Dongfang, Vice Chairman of the Municipal People's Congress and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, attended the meeting and delivered an important speech; Xie Xiaorong, Vice Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, presided over the meeting; 120 model worker representatives attended.
The conference opened solemnly with the national anthem. The meeting elected a new leadership team for the city’s Model Workers Association, with Chen Shengde re-elected as president, Dong Mugao, Qiu Zhengxiang, Yu Yangqing, and Yang Zhiwu serving as vice presidents, Yang Zhiwu re-elected as secretary-general, and Lin Xiaohong appointed as supervisor.
In his inaugural speech, Chen Shengde expressed that being re-elected as president of the city’s Model Workers Association carries significant responsibility. He feels a heavy burden ahead but sees it as an honorable mission. In the future, efforts will be made in this new era to make model workers further 'ring' in their contributions to rural revitalization so they can further 'move'; exerting effort on new achievements so they can further 'fragrance'; making strides in showcasing model workers' brilliance so they can further 'shine'. Together we will gather the hearts of model workers, enhance their feelings for each other, inspire their strength to build Fuzhou City Model Workers Association into a 'link' that connects collective strength among model workers while ensuring they feel honor, warmth, happiness, belongingness, gainfulness, and achievement.
Song Dongfang congratulated on the successful convening of this meeting and on the newly elected leadership team.
