Yang Zhiwu, Vice President and Secretary-General of Fuzhou Model Workers Association, presided over the meeting. Leaders from Fuzhou Federation of Trade Unions, Fuzhou Model Workers Association, Dongxiang District Federation of Trade Unions, Dongxiang District Model Workers Association, as well as representatives from various counties (districts) and school faculty and students participated in this event.

He summarized six major highlights from 2023's work including learning enhancement, association re-election, model worker promotion activities, caring for model workers, and brand recognition. He proposed development directions for the association and outlined key tasks ahead. Leaders from Yihuang County and Zixi County's model workers associations made typical speeches at the meeting sharing their innovative measures and practical approaches in model worker initiatives.

National model worker Xu Jiansheng and Wang Xinnian who received the May Day Labor Medal also gave presentations showcasing the charm and strength of model workers which won rounds of applause.
