On July 13, Wei Xiaokui, Secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Committee, visited the two major municipal key projects undertaken by Zhongyang Construction Group - the Dongyue City Community Urban Shantytown Renovation Project and the Fuzhou New Campus Construction Project of East China University of Technology, for on-site research and supervision. Vice Mayor Xue Qiang, Deputy Director of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Committee Zhao Ronggui, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Committee Deng Guangtuan, Secretary and Director of the Municipal Finance Bureau Huang Deming, Secretary and Director of the Municipal Natural Resources Bureau Zhou Guowang, and members of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission Dai Jianhua accompanied the research. At the Dongyue City Community Urban Shantytown Renovation Project site, Secretary Wei Xiaokui and his team listened carefully to reports on project progress. This project is a key livelihood project in Fuzhou City with a total construction areaof 150866 square meters, aiming to improve living conditions for low-income urban groups by building 956 new resettlement houses to enhance the overall image of the city. Among them, 12 individual buildings are prefabricated structures with a prefabrication rate not less than 35%.

Secretary Wei Xiaokui paid close attention to construction progress, quality safety control, and resettlement work for residents. He affirmed Zhongyang Construction Group's efficient execution in promoting this project. He emphasized that shantytown renovation is a livelihood project that must strictly control quality while accelerating construction progress to ensure early completion so that residents can benefit as soon as possible.

Subsequently, Secretary Wei Xiaokui's team arrived at the site for East China University of Technology's Fuzhou New Campus Construction Project. This project is an important strategic deployment for promoting higher education development in Fuzhou City and has significant implications for enhancing regional education levels, attracting talent, and promoting economic development. The first section covers about700 acres with a total construction area of approximately 127400 square meters. It includes public teaching buildings, an Artificial Intelligence and Big Data College, a Normal College, a Law College, student dormitories, faculty apartments, student cafeterias, school gates, switch stations as well as pump rooms among other 12 individual buildings; among them are four student dormitories which are prefabricated structures with a prefabrication rate not less than 50%.

Secretary Wei Xiaokui inspected planning and construction conditions on-site and had in-depth discussions with key responsible persons for the project. He urged the project construction team to firmly establish awareness for quality excellence while paying attention to detail management to ensure that new campus construction aligns with modern educational concepts while integrating elements from Fuzhou culture to create a first-class learning environment for teachers and students. At the same time he also requested relevant municipal government departments continue increasing support for key projects actively coordinating solutions to difficulties encountered during project advancement ensuring smooth progress towards timely completion.
