To comprehensively promote the in-depth implementation of Fuzhou's "Ranking and Leadership" key technology tackling projects, strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, and promote collaborative innovation in industry-university-research, on the morning of December 15, Zhongyang Group and Nanchang Engineering College held a signing ceremony for the 2023 Fuzhou major technology tackling project - research and application of prefabricated building products and intelligent production technology based on bamboo resources.

Professor Xu Qiuhua, a specially appointed professor at Nanchang Engineering College and chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Civil Engineering Society, Wang Xiaobu, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Civil Engineering at Nanchang Engineering College, Liu Zhijian, vice supervisor of the Jiangxi Provincial Civil Engineering Society, Cui Meng, a member of the Party Committee and full-time deputy director of the provincial engineering center at Nanchang Engineering College's School of Civil Engineering, professors Liu Kai and Hong Cheng from the college, Jiang Ying, director of the office of the Provincial Civil Engineering Society, and Gan Congkui, research secretary from the college participated in unveiling. Chen Shengde, chairman of Zhongyang Group's board of directors, vice president Zhu Min and others attended the signing ceremony which was hosted by Wu Yiqiang, vice president of Zhongyang Group.

Chen Shengde expressed a warm welcome to Professor Xu Qiuhua and his team for their visit and thanked Nanchang Engineering College's R&D team for their technical support to the group. He stated that with this signing between Zhongyang Group and Nanchang Engineering College, they will fully leverage Zhongyang Group's supply chain advantages in new green building materials and prefabricated components as well as Nanchang Engineering College's strong research capabilities and high-level innovative talent pool. He looks forward to both parties working together on this project's technological challenges in the future to promote school-enterprise integration development and achieve significant progress in collaborative innovation among industry-university-research applications to help improve quality while reducing costs in Jiangxi's construction industry as well as support green low-carbon development.

Professor Xu Qiuhua stated that the project for developing prefabricated building products based on bamboo resources along with intelligent production technology has significant practical implications. It can fully tap into Fuzhou's local bamboo resource potential to drive local bamboo industry development while promoting green building materials' application development and enhancing R&D levels for intelligent production technologies.

Secretary Wang Xiaobu praised Zhongyang Group for its achievements in high-quality development within industrialized construction. He hopes that both parties will strengthen deep cooperation on technological innovation and talent cultivation based on this project's R&D. In front of key leaders from Jiangxi Provincial Civil Society, Nanchang Engineering College, Zhongyang Design Institute, Research Institute, Prefabricated Industry Base among others witnessing together, Chen Shengde signed a project cooperation agreement with Professor Xu Qiuhua.

The signing of this cooperation agreement with Nanchang Engineering College will achieve complementary advantages through strong alliances to enhance Zhongyang Group’s competitive advantage across its entire industrial chain in industrialized construction. Once this technology is successfully developed it will become Jiangxi Province’s first independently developed prefabricated intelligent construction system based on local bamboo resources which will significantly reduce construction costs for low-rise buildings by over 30% carbon emissions reduction while facilitating leapfrog development in Jiangxi’s prefabricated buildings and intelligent construction.

Before the signing ceremony, Professor Xu Qiuhua's team also visited Zhongyang Group’s corporate culture exhibition hall and its smart construction site command center.

Chen Shengde, Chairman of the Board of Zhongyang Holdings Group, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the new campus construction project of Donghua University in Fuzhou.
