On August 20, the mobilization meeting for the concentrated commencement and completion of major key projects in Fuzhou City in 2022, themed "Strive for the Third Quarter, Lay a Foundation for Annual Victory," was grandly held at the site of the Gandong Vocational and Technical College project by Zhongyang Construction Group. The Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Xia Wenyong, issued the commencement order; the Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Gao Shiwen delivered a speech; city leaders Li Gaoxing, Wang Hong'an, Cai Qing, Han Chao, Jiang Zhijian, Wang Huahui, Huang Zhixun, and Secretary-General of the Municipal Party Committee Liu Junfu and Secretary-General of the Municipal Government Li Kang attended. It is reported that there are a total of 388 major key projects concentrated for commencement or completion this time with total investment reaching 172.63 billion yuan; planned investment in 2022 is set at 43.61 billion yuan.

Among them,Gandong Vocational Technical College is a private non-profit higher vocational college planned by Zhongyang Construction Group with an investment intention of 1.8 billion yuan based on guiding principles such as 'high starting point planning', 'high specification construction', 'high quality promotion'. It features architecture & arts with coordinated development across multiple disciplines while integrating higher vocational education with enterprises deeply into its operation . The project's planned land area exceeds more than1700 acres with total building area over450000 square meters . The first phase aims at accommodating12000 students which can reach20000 after 'specialized upgrade'. Currently,the first phase includes library,total building area exceeding210000 square meters comprising comprehensive building,classroom building,training building,dormitory,cafeteria,sports venues etc., has successfully commenced construction on initial321 acres land which will be completed by August2023.
